Place the following dry ingredients in a jar or ziplock bag. ( needs to hold 1 quart) 1 1/2 cups uncooked old fashioned oats 1 cup brown suger ( packed) 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1 tablespoon grated orange peel 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking soda List the above dry ingredients on your recipe card and then add: 1 egg 1/2 cup butter...softened Preheat oven to 375 and lightly spray or grease a cookie sheet. In large bowl, blend butter until smooth. Beat in egg until well blended. Add dry ingredients and stir until blended. Drop, by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand on cookie sheet for 2 minutes then remove to wire rack to cool completely. Repeat until all dough is used. 3 1/2 dozen cookies. Enjoy. |
